Mr Whitlam m asked the Minister acting for the Minister for Health, upon notice -

1.   Has the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee recommended that the list of pharmaceutical benefits should include (a) cortisone for the treatment of pemphigus, (b) serpasil for the treatment of hypertension, (c) tetracyclines for the treatment of staphylococcal infections assumed to have originated in a maternity hospital, and (d) the injectable form of chloramphenicol for the treatment of certain specified diseases?

2.   What was the date of the committee's recommendation in each case?

3.   When did the Minister accept the recommendation in each case?

4.   When did, or will, each of the foregoing become available as a pharmaceutical benefit?
