In view of the fact that the report of the Commonwealth Bureau of Census and Statistics, released to-day, shows that exports for the ten months ended 30th April, 1957, have exceeded imports by £234,000,000, compared with a deficit of £67,000,000 for the same ten months last year, will the Minister give immediate consideration to either the total abolition of import controls or, alternatively, a substantial liberalization of them?
