Mr FREETH (FORREST, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Has the Minister for Primary Industry studied reports of an increased yield of tobacco leaf from the current crop this year, particularly in Western Australia? In view of this, has the Minister considered an increase in the percentages of Australian leaf to be used before duty concessions on imported leaf can be claimed? Will the Minister particularly bear in mind the importance of these percentages to Western Australian tobaccogrowers where the tobacco auctions are the last of the season and it is, therefore, important that buyers should still be anxious to obtain Australian leaf?
