Mr Bryant t asked the Minister for the Army, upon notice -

1.   What amounts have been spent on the training depot, Park-street, Carlton, Victoria, in the last ten years?

2.   What work was carried out?

3.   Have any training depots been erected since the end of the 1939-45 war?

4.   If so, what was the average cost?


Mr Cramer - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows: -

1.   £12,400.

2.   £10,000 on repairs and maintenance, £2,400 on minor new works.

3.   Thirty-six new training depots already completed or still under construction.

4.   £41,150 each.
