Mr TIMSON (HIGINBOTHAM, VICTORIA) - I direct a question without notice to the Minister for Primary Industry. In view of recent claims that egg producers are facing a surplus in production and that eggs may have to be dumped, would the Minister indicate what steps are being taken to deal with this situation and what steps are being taken to protect and safeguard the interests of the industry? I feel it would also be of interest to this House if the Minister would indicate just how egg producers have fared during the current season.
