Mr Ward d asked the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Did he, through the columns of the American magazine " U.S. News and World Report ", express the view that the Communists continue to secure too many advantages in the cold war to accept the risk of mutual destruction involved in nuclear and thermo-nuclear war?

2.   If so, will he slate in precise terms what are the advantages which have been secured by the Communists in the cold war?

3.   Is it a fair conclusion to draw from his words that the initiative for a major war will, if war eventuates, most likely come from the nonCommunist nations?
