Mr Bryant t asked the Minister representing the Attorney-General, upon notice -

1.   What restrictions are placed on aborigines with regard to citizenship rights in each of the States and mainland territories?

2.   Will he state whether section 51 (xxxi.) of the Commonwealth Constitution dealing with the acquisition of property on just terms could be applied to the claims of aborigines to Commonwealth assistance where reservations are taken over for Commonwealth purposes?

3.   Is the exclusion of the aboriginal race from the provisions of section 51 (xxvi.) of the Constitution taken to remove them absolutely from Commonwealth responsibility or to place them on the same footing as other Australians?

4.   Have any rulings been given by the courts on this matter; if so, what rulings and when were they given?
