Sir ARTHUR FADDEN (MCPHERSON, QUEENSLAND) (Treasurer) - The honorable gentleman is quite correct in saying that the Queensland Premier approached me, as the Acting Prime Minister at the time, because these matters are carried out on a Prime Minister to Premier basis. I was so expeditious in agreeing to the Premier's suggestion that an investigation be made that I appointed two officers of the Commonwealth to confer with officers of the Queensland Premier's Department. The Commonwealth officers are still awaiting the results of certain investigations to be carried out by the Queensland Department of Railways.
