Mr E JAMES HARRISON (BLAXLAND, NEW SOUTH WALES) on asked the Minister for Labour and National Service, upon notice -

1.   Have gold passes been issued to commissioners of the Commonwealth Conciliation and Arbitration Commission, as distinct from the president and deputy presidents?

2.   To what authorities is payment made in respect of the gold passes held by all members of the commission, and how much is paid in respect of each gold pass?

Mr HAROLD HOLT (HIGGINS, VICTORIA) - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows: -

1.   Not by the Commonwealth.

2.   No payments are made by the Commonwealth.
