Mr WEBB (STIRLING, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Shortly after the Prime Minister returned from overseas, I asked him whether he had received any correspondence from the Western Australian Government pressing the need for a naval base on the western coast of Australia, either at Albany or at Cockburn Sound. The right honorable gentleman replied at that stage that he had not had time to go through his correspondence. I now ask him: Has he seen this correspondence? If so, what is his attitude to the request?
