Mr HOWSE (CALARE, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the retiring Minister for Customs and Excise whether he can give me, in this last hour of his portfolio, a favorable decision on the duty-free admission of bells for a clock tower which he knows I have been trying to obtain for the important town of Parkes. Is it correct as is widely believed, that the Minister, in deciding questions of by-law admission of goods for development, duty-free, or at reduced rates, is bound hand and foot b> the decision of the United Kingdom Board of Trade? Will he give me a decision on this important question?
