Mr DAVIDSON - 1 am aware of the development which has taken place in the areas referred to by the honorable member for New England, largely because he has, on several occasions, drawn my attention to it and the consequent need for the improvement of postal facilities. As a result of that, I have made inquiries from time to time. My present information is to the effect that it has been determined to include the building of a new post office and exchange at Bonalbo in the programme for the present financial year. I understand that plans are now being prepared, and when they are completed tenders will be sought. There is no proposal to build a new post office in the Urbenville area at present. I am informed that the available facilities are sufficient to meet present needs, especially in view of the more urgent requirements of other areas.
