Dr DONALD CAMERON (OXLEY, QUEENSLAND) - The honorable member for Capricornia has been most assiduous in his efforts to protect the public against the activities of companies which are not authorized to act under the National Health Act. The company to which he refers has never been registered under the National Health Act, and some time ago - from memory, I think about eighteen months, or perhaps two years - legal action was taken to prevent it from representing itself as being registered under the act. Recently, an investigator was appointed by the Attorney-General to inquire into the affairs of this company, and that investigation is now taking place. It is the objective of the Government to protect the public from companies which represent themselves as being registered under the National Health Act when, in fact, they are not. I hope that the present investigation will be of material assistance in furthering that objective.
