Mr SPEAKER - Order ! The honorable member for Griffith asked a question concerning war service homes and the report of a certain committee. That matter is certainly a matter of urgent publicimportance.

Mr Holt - I rise to order.

Mr SPEAKER - The Chair has given a ruling and will stand by that ruling-.

Mr Holt - May I point out-

Mr SPEAKER - Order ! The Chair has ruled on this matter. The honorable member has his remedy.

Mr Holt - You are not going to allow a point of order to be stated?

Mr SPEAKER - I have not said that. I have ruled on that point of order.

Mr Holt - But I wish to raisea different point of order.

Mr SPEAKER - Order ! The honorable member will resume his seat.

Mr Holt - I have a different point of order.

Mr SPEAKER - The honorable member will resume his seat.

Mr Holt - But I desire to state a point of order to the Chair.

Mr SPEAKER - Order ! If the honorable member does not resume his seat, I shall name him.

Mr Holt - I ask leave to state a point of order.

Mr SPEAKER - I name the honorable member for Fawkner.

Mr Menzies - This is nonsense.

Motion (by Mr. Chifley) proposed -

That the honorable member for Fawkner be suspended from the service of the House.

Mr Menzies - It is a perfect outrage.
