Mr SCULLY - At present the Government has no intention of lifting the embargo on the export of oats. A considerable portion of the Commonwealth is now suffering from the effects of drought, and the Government is determined to avoid a repetition of the state of affairs that followed unrestricted exportation of fodder and grain in the past. Accordingly, until the local position improves, the ban on the export of oats from Australia will be continued. I shall have inquiries made with respect to the matter raised by the honorable member in the second part of his question.
