Mr JOHNSON - Following a suggestion made by the Administrator of the Northern Territory, Mr. Driver, that a conference should be held between officers of the Department of the Interior and representatives of the South Australian Government, the Chief Veterinary Officer, Colonel Rose, was sent to Alice Springs to investigate and report upon the need for such a conference. I assure the honorable member that special attention has been given to the problem, and I am certain that the difficulty which has arisen as the result of the prohibition imposed by the South Australian Government will be overcome.
