Mr CHIFLEY - The high prices of motor cars are due largely to" the fact - that the vehicles, or, at least, their main components, are imported, and that in the countries of origin, namely the United Kingdom and the United States of America, prices have risen considerably. As to reducing the sales tax on motor cars, that matter will be considered when a general review of the sales tax is being made.
