Mr SPEAKER - Cannot the honorable member condense the pre.°s reports?

Mr CONELAN - Is the Minister also aware that Captain Downing is reported to have stated that no charges were preferred against any of the men who were held in custody, and to have denied thatthere was a riot? In view of the conflict between the two press reports and the serious reflections that have been cast on the reputation of Australian servicemen, will the Minister state the facts concerning the alleged happenings at Gibraltar?
