Mr BLAIN (NORTHERN TERRITORY) - I ask the Minister for the Army whether, when evidence is given against Major Cousens, at least three senior officers of the 8th Division will be allowed to give evidence on his behalf. I ask that they be Brigadier Taylor, Colonel Kent-Hughes and Colonel Thyer, because they know that when the Japanese heard about his lectures they snatched him away and used duress to induce him to repeat the lectures in broadcasts. I want to ensure that he shall he given a fair deal and a full opportunity to prove that what he said in Japan was said under duress.
