Mr DEDMAN (CORIO, VICTORIA) - If the honorable member brings cases to my notice, I shall personally examine them in conjunction with the Minister for Labour and National Service. It has to be made clear to the Deputy Leader of the Opposition, and to honorable members generally, that in each trade there is an industrial committee, which acts in an advisory capacity. Each committee consists of a member of the trade union movement, a member representing the employers in the industry, and a member representing the returned soldiers' organization. The committees give advice to the reconstructional training authority regarding the absorptive capacity of particular industries. Obviously, it would be very unwise to train ex-servicemen in trades in which the absorptive capacity is very low.
