Mr Harrison n asked the Minister for Air, upon notice -

1.   Is he yet in a position to act upon an assurance he gave to the honorable member for Wentworth early last year that the erection ofan additional hangar at the Rose Bay flying base was a temporary expedient, and that its removal at the cessation of hostilities was contemplated? 2.Has work on the hangar been continued since V-P Day?

3.   If so, is it still intended to carry on and complete the work?

4.   If it is not intended so to do, when is it anticipated the work will be stopped and the temporary structure removed?

Mr.Drakeford. - The answers to the honorable member's questions are as follows : -

1.   The hangar is still regarded as. a temporary structure and it is intended to remove it from Rose Bay as soon as possible.

2.   Yes, but only to the extent necessary to the safety of the structure and to protect what has been completed.

3.   No.

4.   See answers to Nos.1 and 3.
