Mr DEDMAN - The honorable gentleman asked me a question in relation to this matter on the 9th September.

Mr Abbott - It is the 29th September now.

Mr DEDMAN - Yes. I supplied an answer to the honorable member's question immediately afterwards. I did say then that representatives of those bodies had been consulted, but I think it would have been more accurate if I had said that members of those bodies had been consulted. They were not selected. Insofar as the Central Wool Committee was concerned, they were members who volunteered the information at the instance of the then chairman, Sir Owen Dixon.

Mr Abbott - In an official or unofficial capacity?

Mr DEDMAN - In his official capacity, as chairman of the Central Wool Committee.

Mr Abbott - What about the other bodies ?

Mr DEDMAN - I believe that I have already given the honorable member all the information for which he asked.

Mr Abbott - No.

Mr DEDMAN - If that is not the case, I ask the honorable member to put any further questions in relation to the matter on the notice-paper.
