Dr PRICE (BOOTHBY, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - I ask the Minister representing the Postmaster-General whether he has seen a report made by General Leane, Commissioner of Police in South Australia, that so far every effort of the Betting Control Board and the Police Department to enlist the support of the Commonwealth authorities in action against illegal gambling has failed, and that telephone betting can be dealt with successfully if there be this necessary cooperation ? In view of the importance of this statement to the austerity campaign, will the honorable gentleman consider affording the co-operation for which the State asks?
