Mr BERNARD CORSER (WIDE BAY, QUEENSLAND) - Last night I received a communication from a woman who had just received information from soldiers in New Guinea relating to the death of her son who was on service in that area. The boy's family had no previous knowledge of his death, and so far they have not received any official notification of it. Will the Minister for the Army have this matter fully investigated, in order to prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents? The boy's mother brought the matter to my attention in order to prevent other families from suffering a similar shock.
