Mr CURTIN - The regulations which will impose the ban will be gazetted to-day. The object of the Government in prohibiting galloping, trotting and greyhoundracing on the first Saturday of each calendar month is not only to reduce the activity in racing, but also to impress on the nation as a whole that a positive work of war value can well be done on at least one Saturday in each month.
