Mr BRENNAN - I have heard it reported that, in a few cases where American troops in this country have committed serious offences against our criminal law, our courts have dealt with them in the usual manner. Some time ago, the Prime Minister indicated that regulations had been promulgated to permit the American Army to deal with such cases. I ask the right honorable gentleman whether the Government exercises any discrimination in determining whether some cases shall be dealt with by the American military authorities, and others by Australian courts?
