Mr COLLINS (HUME, NEW SOUTH WALES) - As so many men in the services are required at short notice for shearing operations, will the Minister for Labour and National Service do everything possible to expedite the granting of leave of absence to men concerned, in order to enable them to attend to this essential work?

Mr WARD - In co-operation with the Minister for the Army, I am ensuring that everything possible is being done at the present time to obtain the release of men who are required for essential work in the primary industries.
