Mr LANGTRY - Owing to the shortage of leather supplies, due to the requirements of the defence forces, will the Minister for Supply and Development take whatever action is open to him in order to ensure that supplies of leather belting for harvest machinery and of copper rivets for belt repairs shall be made available in country towns in anticipation of the forthcoming wheat harvest? Further, in view of the reduced supplies of heavy footwear and sole leather that are available in country stores, will he consider the provision of further supplies?
