Mr FORDE - I remind the honorable member that persons who fail to insure their property against war damage will receive no compensation if it happens to be destroyed by enemy action. The rate of 4s. per £100 is undoubtedly a very reasonable premium, and will be gladly paid by all owners of houses, whether they depend upon a small income from the property from superannuation, or from a pension. Honorable members will agree that the Commonwealth Treasurer acted most wisely in introducing the war damage insurance scheme. However, consideration will be given to the representations made by the honorable member.
