Mr JAMES - Is the Minister for the Army aware that, in trying to secure the release of certain men from the Army, honorable members of this House may go round and round in circles, and return to the point whence they started? I have requested the Minister for Labour and National Service to secure the release from the Army of many coal-miners on account of the grave shortage of miners in the coal industry. The Minister has sent the usual letter to me stating that the matter has been placed in the hands of the Minister for the Army. But, when I write to the Minister for the Army, he tells me that the matter is in the hands of the Minister for La'bour and National Service. I want a show-down on this matter. If the Minister for the Army is satisfied that coal-miners are in the Army, will he give instructions for their immediate release?
