Mr CURTIN - Matters dealt with by the Advisory War Council are not, as the honorable member knows, disclosed in this House.

Mr Archie Cameron - I do not know what is done there; I have a strong suspicion that nothing is done.

Mr CURTIN - I do not propose to state what takes place at meetings of the council. The Government accepts full responsibility for its legislative proposals in respect of uniform taxation, and hopes, with the support of the honorable member and his colleagues, to place them on the statute-book.

Mr Archie Cameron - Why invite the support of the Opposition if the Government is to take full responsibility for the proposals?

Mr CURTIN - We invited a very distinguished member of the Opposition to assist us in the preparation of this legislation.
