Mr SHEEHAN - I ask the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Customs whether it is a fact, as recently reported in the press, that the price of beer and spirits in the Australian Capital Territory was fixed on the 15th April last? If so, will he inquire from the Minister for Trade and Customs why, in view of repeated complaints about the blatant profiteering of hotels in Canberra, action was not taken before then to fix liquor prices? Will the Minister also obtain for the information of this House a statement showing the prices fixed for the principal brands of beer and spirits in the Australian Capital Territory, compared with those fixed for similar commodities in Sydney?
