Mr RANKIN (BENDIGO, VICTORIA) - Was the Minister for Commerce correctly reported in the Sydney Morning Herald of the 3rd April as having told a meeting of farmers at West Wyalong, New South Wales, that he was in favour of a scheme to pay growers a stabilized price of 4s. net a bushel for the first 3,000 bushels of wheat per unit of production? If so, will the honorable gentleman's recommendation to Cabinet be in those terms?

Mr SCULLY - The report is correct, and my recommendation will be in the terms stated.
