Dr PRICE (BOOTHBY, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - Has the attention of the Minister for War Organization of Industry been directed to an article in the Melbourne Herald of Thursday last, in which it was .stated that the Federal Deputy-Director of Man-Power has completed a census of young, unmarried women employed in Adelaide shops, and that the women are to be recruited for war production on a semi-voluntary basis ^ Will the honorable .gentleman explain what is meant by the term " semivoluntary recruiting of women " and will he inform the Parliament whether the system is to be applied in a uniform manner throughout the Commonwealth ?
