Mr FORDE - The honorable member has corresponded with the Department of the Army on this subject. I shall inquire whether the fullest consideration has been given to this gun. An Army Inventions Directorate has been established to give immediate consideration to new inventions.

Mr Beck - It has given no consideration whatever to this invention.

Mr FORDE - I shall inquire whether there are just grounds for the honorable gentleman's complaint. My policy is to encourage inventors. It was for that reason that the Army Inventions Directorate was established. I hope to be able to furnish some information to the honorable gentleman to-morrow.
