Mr CURTIN - The association between this Government and the Supreme Commander is not determined by geography. None of the postulates to which the honorable gentleman has referred are necessary in order that there may be the most intimate consultation between the Supreme Commander and those upon whom it devolves to advise him. There will be an Australian Commander who will operate under the Supreme Commander. All operational matters will be decided, I hope, on the basis of military strategy. The Government will regard it as a duty to give the maximum support to such strategical decisions as may be made.
