Mr BEASLEY -Could the Minister representing the Minister for Commerce indicate the powers of wool committees, particularlythe State committee in New South Wales, in regard to the erection of sheds for the storage of wool before shipment? My inquiry is to ascertain by what method or powers this committee exercises its right to make a choice of particular building contractors as against other building contractors. That is to say, I should like to know what powers these gentlemen have to proceed with works of this character without allowing the works to be tendered for in the same way as other governmental works which are not carried out by the Government itself.
