Mr Drakeford d asked the Minister for Defence, upon notice -

1.   What length of time would be occupied, under present conditions in moving a division of troops by rail from Victoria to Queensland?

2.   What length of time would be occupied in moving a division of troops from Victoria toQueensland under standard gauge conditions?

3.   What length of time would be occupied under present conditions in moving a divisionof troops from Victoria to Sydney or Newcastle ?

4.   What length of time would be occupied in moving a division of troops by rail from Victoria to Sydney or Newcastle under standard gauge conditions?
