Mr JOHN LAWSON (MACQUARIE, NEW SOUTH WALES) . - I think that Dr. Clunies Ross was referring to special lines of goods for which there is a strictly limited demand. If my interpretation of his remarks be correct, a possible explanation is that the limited demand in Australia has a definitely deterrent effect on the local manufacture of such goods.
