Mr JAMES (HUNTER, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Seeing that the Minister for Defence has announced that the Government proposes to expend approximately £500,000 at Rathmines, on Lake Macquarie, for the purpose of establishing a seaplane base, and in view of the prevalence of unemployment in that district, particularly on the northern coalfields of New South Wales, will the Minister for Defence consider the .allocation of the work on the day-labour basis instead of giving it to contractors, who, I understand, would probably bring labour from other districts?
