Mr Nock k asked the Treasurer, upon notice -

1.   Did the Commonwealth Bank provide the Government with money for war purposes between 1914 and 1919, or act as agent for raising public loans for those purposes?

2.   If the bank provided money, how much did it provide?

3.   What is the amount of the note issue at present?

4.   What per centum of the amount is represented by gold sterling and approved assets as a basis for the issue?

5.   How much money was provided by the Commonwealth Bank for the construction of the East-West railway?
