Mr FAIRBAIRN (FLINDERS, VICTORIA) (Minister for Civil Aviation) - The report relating to the Kyeema inquiry was laid on the table of the House by the Minister for Public Works and Civil Aviation, Mr. Thorby, on the 8th December last.

Mr WHITE - That is not the report that I have in mind.

Mr FAIRBAIRN - There is another report of a committee specially set up by the same Minister to investigate and report on the administration of the Civil Aviation Board, the organization of the newly-created Department of Civil Aviation, and associated questions. This report I now lay on the table of the House. A third report of a purely confidential character, on personnel, was prepared for the information of the Minister.

Mr WHITE - With regard to the reports in connexion with civil aviation mentioned by the Minister, will he see that the one on personnel is not treated as confidential, because without it honorable members will not be able to obtain a proper appreciation of the other two reports ?

Mr FAIRBAIRN - The report referred to by the honorable member was asked for as a confidential report by the Minister of the day, and, in my opinion, it would be entirely wrong for me to table it.
