Mr CURTIN (Fremantle) .-I have nothing to say in regard to this bill, except to point out that it contains the details of expenditure from Treasurer's Advance made, I think, two years ago. I regard it as futile to attempt to dissect the details of that expenditure at this stage, or to hold the Treasurer (Mr. Casey) to account for the manner in which the money was used. The unfortunate thing is that the expenditure from Treasurer's Advance has customarily not been submitted to Parliament for consideration until after the submission of the Auditor-General's report. It would appear to me that that procedure ought to be reversed if the Parliament is to have any say in the matter at all.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
