Mr CURTIN (Fremantle) .- The Minister neglected to give an explanation of this bill, which is connected with a measure passed by the House in the early hours of this morning. There was some doubt whether a subsidy could be claimed by both parties to a share partnership. It was never intended that it could, and it is proposed to amend the act in order to make this clear. The necessity for the amendment has arisen because of the decision of the Government to limit the quantity of fertilizer on which subsidy shall be paid.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
