Mr WARD (EAST SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the Prime Minister whether, in view of the increase of the prices of commodities that has taken place since this Parliament last fixed the rate of invalid and old-age pensions at £1 a week, an increase of the rate of pension will be granted in order to enable the unfortunate pensioners to meet the increased cost of living? If this will not be done, why not ?
