Mr SCULLY (GWYDIR, NEW SOUTH WALES) - As the result of the increased activity of the Defence Department, will the Minister for Defence Works reconsider any decisions against applications for the construction of rifle ranges and the establishment of rifle clubs?

Mr THORBY - Tt will be impossible to state the order of priority in which works are to be carried out unless the honorable member is able to specify the particular works which he has in mind. The policy of the Government is to place defence works on the list of priority in accordance with their value as a defence asset. All of the works will be pushed on with the greatest amount of speed.
