Mr GREGORY (Swan) . -I suggest that those honorable members who have already spoken in support of the amendment moved by the honorable member for Franklin (Mr. Frost) could not have read it, or at least have failed to understand it. In view of the fact that the Minister (Mr. Archie Cameron) has gone so far to meet the honorable member, it is really difficult to understand how he could persist with his proposal. The Minister has given way to some extent, and the honorable; members should be satisfied. Had the Government made a proposition in the first place similar to that which the Minister has now made, I should have had a good deal to say about it. I think it is going too far. In the circumstances I cannot understand the honorable member for Franklin pressing his proposal.
