Mr SHEEHAN (COOK, NEW SOUTH WALES) - In view of the fact that the honorable member for Corangamite (Mr. Street) has held his new portfolio for only a few hours, I address the following question without notice to the Prime Minister: -

1.   Is it a fact that the Air Accidents Committee's inquiry into the Kyeema crash to-day gagged the press by refusing to allow any publication of evidence into alleged defects in Avro Anson bombers?

2.   If this is so, how does the Minister reconcile the suppression of such details with his assurance that the inquiry would be full and open?

3.   If the Prime Minister is unaware of the facts stated, will he take steps to ascertain them, and to make a statement in the House later to-day?
