Mr LANE (BARTON, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Is it not a fact that the Salvation Array was the only organization which would undertake to re-dye and distribute military clothing, and that that body equitably distributed in both the metropolitan and country areas of New South Wales, the supplies made available to it?


Mr FRANCIS - Quite a number of charitable organizations in New South Wales agreed to dye and bear the expense of distributing this clothing in the metropolitanarea, but the Salvation Army was the only organization which undertook to do this work for country districts.
