Mr R GREEN (RICHMOND, NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Have new uniforms recently been adopted for and issued to the native police in the Mandated Territory of New Guinea?

2.   If so, who recommended the change?

3.   Of what did the old uniform consist?

4.   Of what does the new uniform consist?

5.   What is the additional cost per annum involved in the change?

6.   When did the change take place?

7.   Are other male natives allowed to cover the top parts of the body?

8.   If not, is this because of medical opinion?

9.   Was medical opinion obtained before the change of uniform was made; if so, did such medical opinion favour the change?
